If there’s one thing we have in common with the Irish, it’s our love of seafood and ice-cold stout. So,
you can only imagine our excitement when the Gold Coast’s longest standing Irish Pub, D’Arcy Arms
announced it was going to pip its ancestors to the post by celebrating the iconic Galway Oyster &
Seafood Festival on 17th – 18th October!

The ingenious event was established back in 1954 to celebrate Galway’s rich annual oyster harvest.
It’s since become one of the largest internationally recognised Irish events, after St Patrick’s Day,
attracting millions of visitors to its shores over the years to gleefully indulge in tons of the famous
native Galway oysters – washed down with Champagne and stout of course.

D’Arcy Arms Irish Pub in Surfers Paradise are getting-in on all the action of the Galway
Oyster & Seafood Festival with a day of craic from 12pm this Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th October.

There will be loads of delicious seafood specials available including:
• Fresh Natural Oysters with lemon
• Harvey Bay Half Shell Scallops with garlic crumb
• Fresh Tiger Prawns with lemon
• Creamy Garlic Prawns
• Salt & Pepper Calamari
• Beer Battered Fish ‘n’ Chips Chips
• Barramundi Burger

All this seafood is best washed down with your favourite ales on flow and live music from 12pm.

Saturday 17th October – Jack O’Leary & friends, The Gathering & Mark Butler
Sunday 18th October – Mick McHugh and Mark Butler will round out an event you simply cannot miss!
